Welcome to Young Voyagers Pre-K, Charlotte’s first Mandarin Chinese immersion preschool. We are now accepting applications for the 2025–26 school year! Located on the campus of East Voyager Academy, our preschool offers young learners the chance to thrive academically, socially, and culturally, while building the foundation for lifelong bilingual skills.

At Young Voyagers Pre-K, your child will experience small class sizes, caring and experienced teachers, and a unique curriculum that blends English literacy, math, science, and the arts, with Mandarin Chinese vocabulary, songs, and culture. With affordable rates and flexible payment plans, families can choose from monthly, semester, or annual tuition options.

Our program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Students can arrive as early as 7:15 a.m. They can be part of an optional After-Care Program until 5:30 p.m. for just $60 per week. Our flexible drop-off and pick-up times give busy working families peace of mind, while ensuring that their children continue to learn and play in a safe, supervised, nurturing environment.

Enrollment is open to children who are 4 years old (or will turn 4 early in the school year), are potty trained, and ready to engage with peers through stories, songs, and hands-on learning. Spaces are limited. Families are encouraged to apply early to secure a spot in our highly regarded bilingual preschool program.

What ages are eligible to enroll?

Children must be 4 years old (or turning 4 in the early part of the school year) to enroll at Young Voyagers Pre-K.

Does the preschool follow a traditional school calendar?

Yes! We follow the East Voyager Academy school calendar, including holidays and breaks, so families with multiple children in EVA and Young Voyagers Pre-K can enjoy one consistent schedule.

What are the program hours?

Students may arrive as early as 7:15 a.m. Instruction begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. After-school services continue until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $60 weekly fee.

Is there an after care program?

Yes. For $60 per week, students can stay in our After Care Program until 5:30 p.m.

What is required before enrolling?

Students must be potty-trained, able to listen to short stories, and able to play cooperatively with peers.
